Gray Death Drug: Why It Is So Dangerous?

What is Grey Death? What does it look like?

Gray Death is a new dangerous drug, so lethal that police officers in Louisiana are telling people to not even touch it, let alone use it.
This new drug is a kind of heroin that is cut with an extremely powerful synthetic opioid called Fentanyl, which can be 100 times stronger and more dangerous than heroin. Other than these two elements, Grey Death drug can also contain Carfentanil, a substance which is usually used to sedate and tranquilize animals of the size of elephants, and another synthetic opioid called U-47700. Just to give you an idea abot grey death ingredients, this drug is mixed with the aforementioned elements, the result can be even 10,000 times stronger than morphine.
David Spencer, a spokesperson for St. Mary’s Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, explained that one of the tell-tale signs of this mix of heroin and Fentanyl is the color; the drug is grey-colored, and it looks like a concrete mix.
As for the consistency of this substance, it can be hard and come in chunks, but it can also be found in the form of fine powder.

Why Using Gray Death Is Risky?

The Grey Death is a relatively new kind of drug in the United States, it appeared for the first time in 2017 in Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, and it immediately displayed its lethal characteristics. More specifically, some components of this grey heroin, such as Furanyl, the union of Fentanyl, and U-47700, can be deadly even if the doses are very low.
Gray Death is usually be injected, swallowed, snorted, or smoked; however, it’s also extremely dangerous to touch it. That is because this powder can be absorbed through the skin or may be inhaled without noticing, and even small doses of the substance are enough to rapidly cause faults in a person’s respiratory system, which will then lead the subject to a fast death.

Stay On The Healthy Side

We’ve seen how fatal gray heroin can be, however, that’s not the only reason why it’s important to keep a very long distance from this substance. Usually, people who use Gray Death are trying to get the euphoric effects synthetic opioid offers. However, negative responses from the body come extremely quickly and can include: shallow breathing and respiratory depression, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, cold skin, loss of consciousness, and, in some cases, even heart failure.
Staying away from this deadly drug is the best way to avoid many complications, not only because it can seriously put a person’s life at stake, but also because there isn’t a sure way to treat Grey Death addiction.
There are reports that suggest Gray Death drug could be resistant to Naloxone. However, there are no clinical studies that deepen this topic. The first thing to do if you notice somebody is under the effect of this substance is calling 911 and make sure the person gets the right medical attention as soon as possible.
